Coromandel Peninsula
Firstly it was the friendly weather forecast that brought us to the Coromandel Peninsula. However, shortly after we arrived, it became quite clear that is has way more to offer than beautiful beaches. There are hot bathtubs to be digged at Hot Water Beach, magnificent photo motives to be seen at Cathedral Cove and on top of that unique flora and fauna to be watched. Additionally we taste wines and feijoa liqueur, a fruit that feels home in New Zealand and offers a distinct taste. Many birds and the gigantic Kauri trees feel comfortable in the peninsula's mild climate. There is so much to explore.
